Trip Itinerary

 

• The trip starts in Reykjavik. All travelers have to reach Reykjavik by 18th Dec'18 afternoon or evening.

• Meeting point for all is Hostel.

 

Day 1: Reach Reykjavik by afternoon.​

  

• Meeting point for all the travelers in the hostel. The hostel would be located in downtown Reykjavik and would be close to all the places we would be exploring. The capital city has a lot to offer.

• Food and Walking tour of the city.

• Visit one of the most beautiful churches in the city

 

Day 2 & 3: Snæfellsjökull National Park

 

• After breakfast, we head out to explore one of the national parks "Snæfellsjökull National Park" in west Iceland which is also known by Iceland in a nutshell.

• We make our way in West Iceland, on our stay over 2 days, we would be exploring the following sights: Hraunfossar, Barnafoss, Deildartunguhver hot springs, Reykholt, Gerðuberg, Arnarstapi, Vatnshellir lava cave, Lóndrangar, Djúpalónssandur black beach, Saxhóll, Kirkjufell.

• We also visit the lava cave ( entrance included )

• Stay overnight and the next day we make our way to Reykjavik for a night stay

 

Day 2 & 3: Explore South Coast - Ice Cave & Waterfalls & Jokulsarlon & Vatnajokull

 

 

• After breakfast, you head out to explore one of the most beautiful parts of Iceland - the glacier lagoon - Jokulsarlon and also the Vatnajokull national park  and take you inside the white/ blue Ice cave 

• On  your way in South Iceland, on our stay over 2 days, you would be exploring the following sights: Seljalandsfoss Waterfall, Skógafoss Waterfall, Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach, Villages of Vik, Northern lights search, Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon, Natural Ice Cave, Vatnajökull Glacier, Diamond Beach, Skaftafell Nature Reserve

• Stay overnight at the hotel and the next day we make our way to Reykjavik for a night stay

 

Day 6: Day trip to Golden Circle and Secret Lagoon 

 

• After breakfast, we head out to explore one of the most beautiful drives and route known as the Golden Circle. 

• We explore the Geysir geothermal area, then visit the might  “Golden Waterfall” of Gullfoss, one of the most beautiful waterfalls of Iceland and then the Þingvellir National Park

• Later we take a swim in the hidden lagoon - natural geothermal pools. ( This can be either in starting or ending of the trip )

• Evening head back to Reykjavik

 

Day 7: Reykjavik - Christmas Eve

 

• Free Day 

• You can explore the capital city at your own speed and get into the Christmas vibe. 

• Evening head for evening prayers

• Relax and enjoy the hostel

 

Day 8: Reykjavik - Merry Christmas

 

• Holiday - Merry Christmas

• Daytime - you can head to Blue Lagoon for enjoying the thermal pool ( optional )

• The evening we go for Northern Lights chase tour 

 

Day 9: Reykjavik - Boxing Day

 

• After breakfast, head out exploring hidden thermal pools around Reykjavik ( optional )

• Shopping and relax

• Evening - get together for an after Christmas party

 

Day 10: Trip ends at the hostel-  After breakfast, you head back to India or you can continue with your trip ahead.

 

• The transfer arrangements have to made from your end to the airport

Exclusions:

 

• Flights from India to Iceland both ways

• Breakfast is not included for all days - Can be added as per tour timings at 1700 ISK per person

• The warm jacket can be added for rent - 1500 ISK per person 

• Hiking Shoes can be added or rent - 1000/1500 ISK per person

• Travel Insurance

• Visa fees 

• Lunch & dinner and drinks at all times 

• Anything not mentioned 

• Due to bad weather - if any route changes or plan change -- the extra cost would be incurred individually **

 

Terms & Conditions

 

• You are an adult and you have to take full responsibility for yourself at all times and respect other culture.

•  If you are caught doing anything illegal you would be facing the consequences alone, travel to discover will not come into the picture.

• You have to follow all the instructions told by the trip leader at all times.

• When you are traveling alone you have to tell the team about your whereabouts.

• You have to abide by all rules and regulation of another country.

• You would be traveling with other people, you have to respect everyone's privacy.

• We have a plan/itinerary for the whole trip but some things might get changed according to the situation please be prepared.(like flight delays etc)

• No refund in case of cancellation of flights of interconnecting flights/trains.

• We would be staying in backpacker hostel all the time and would be sharing the room with other people, you are responsible for your own stuff and yourself.
