Day 1 - Arrival in Ulaanbaatar​

Day 2 - Ulaanbaatar City Sightseeing

​

• Visit Gandantegchinlen Monastery

• Explore Sukhbaatar Square, the historic heart of the city

• Visit the National Museum of Mongolia

• Visit Zaisan Memorial Hill for panoramic views

• Evening, a traditional Mongolian cultural performance.

Day 3 - Chinggis Khaan Statue | Arrive Gorkhi-Terelj National Park

• Check out and start with your onward journey

• Explore the monumental equestrian statue of Chinggis Khaan.

• Visit Gorkhi-Terelj National Park’s

• Explore granite rock formations, forested valleys and mountain scenery.

• Visit Turtle Rock and explore selected viewpoints in the park.

• Meet a local nomadic family and learn about their traditional way of life.

• Overnight, in the tourist camp or lodge

 

Day 4 - Arrive Elsen Tasarkhai

• Depart Terelj and travel west.

• Enjoy sand dunes, grassland and rocky mountains en-route

• Explore the dune landscape and visit a local camel-herding family

• Enjoy a short two-humped Bactrian camel ride

• Overnight at a tourist camp near the dunes. ​

 

Day 5 - Arrive Kharkhorin

• After breakfast, travel onward to Kharkhorin

• Explore the ruins of Karakorum, the former Mongol imperial capital.

• Visit Erdene Zuu Monastery.

• Explore the Kharkhorum Museum

• Overnight in Kharkhorin.

 

Day 6 - Kharkhorin → Khustai National Park → Ulaanbaatar

• Travel back east, stopping at Khustai National Park.

• Look for takhi / Przewalski's horses and other native species.

• Continue to Ulaanbaatar and check into your accommodation

• Overnight in Ulaanbaatar.​

 

Day 7 - Departure

• Check out and private transfer to the airport

• Take the flight back home
