  • Info - You travel with a specific itinerary,  stay in a conceptual/experiential hotel with other travelers coming from different parts of India, you explore the culture of the different cities, explore the city - either by walk or by local transport, try the different local cuisine. The trips are focused on experiential travel of wildlife and exploring the culture of that state.

  • Trip Description - Explore the waterfalls of Cherrapunji, Canyons to caves to Double-decker root bridges to hidden waterfalls

  • Solo travelers - Have to go with a single room and if availability is not there then would be charged with a double room.

  • The tour manager would travel with a min. group size of 10. If tour size is less than no tour manager, all assistance provided by ground teams. All info on tours and bookings would be shared beforehand.

Trip Itinerary

​

  • The trip starts in Guwahati. 

  • The meeting point for all travelers is 10 am at the train station of Guwahati.

​

Day 1 - Guwahati /  Overnight in Shillong 

 

  • Reach Shillong 
  • Lunch 
  • Drive to Shillong approx ( 100 km - 3-hour ride )
  • Stop by to check out Umiam Lake
  • Check in - relax and unwind
  • In evening head for locally brewed rice beer and strawberry wine tasting 
  • Dinner

Day 2 - Explore Sohra / Nongriat Village 

 

  • Exploring the rich natural heritage of Sohra which includes sightseeing of

  • Mawkdok Dympep Valley View

  • Eco Park

  • Nohsngithiang Falls

  • Nohkalikai Falls

  • Mawsmai Cave

  • Thangkharang Park

  • Stay in Nongriat Village - Bonfire with dinner

 

 Day 3 - Nongriat 

 

  • Breakfast and then a trek to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge. Lunch at the banks of the river.

  • Lunch in the village - enjoy the local cuisine 

  • Head back to Nongriat Village, Meghalaya’s eco village.

  • Evening tea, local food interaction with the locals, bonfire and dinner.

 

Day 4 -  Explore Mawlynnong / Dawki

  • Breakfast 

  • Head to the Asia’s cleanest village , touring and witnessing Bangladesh from the skyview.

  • Lunch at the village 

  • Evening chill in the dawki river close to Bangladesh border              

  • Evening at Dawki

  • Dinner 

 

Day 5 -  Dawki / Krank suri Waterfall / Shillong

  • Breakfast, checkout,

  • Carry swimming trunks and a towel if you want to dip into the stream.

  • We head to Krang Suri Waterfalls 

  • Lunch 

  • Head to shillong - relax and unwind 

​

Day 6 - Shillong to Mawlyngbna

​

  • Breakfast

  • After breakfast visit Krem dam (cave)

  • Check into a home stay 

  • Lunch 

  • After lunch we head for a trek to see Fossil of star fish, iew luri lura (khasi folklore) hike through a river bed of maw syntai and then end at the umdikain waterfall

  • Village walk in the evening

  • Dinner

 

Day 7 - Mawlyngbna / Shillong

  • After breakfast

  • Start with a nature walk in the village community forest 

  • Start a canyoning (river trek) swimming in natural pools,

  • Kayaking

  • Visit the split rock

  • Late Lunch 

  • After Lunch head back to Shillong

 

Day 8 - Head to Guwahati 

​

  • Breakfast followed with a checkout 

  • Head out for Guwahati

  • Afternoon we reach 

  • The trip ends in Guwahati

  • Due to bad weather - if any route changes or plan change -- the extra cost would be incurred individually **

 

Terms & Conditions

 

  • You are an adult and you have to take full responsibility for yourself at all times and respect other cultures.

  •  If you are caught doing anything illegal you would be facing the consequences alone, travel to discover will not come into the picture.

  • You have to follow all the instructions told by the trip leader at all times.

  • When you are traveling alone you have to tell the team about your whereabouts.

  • You have to abide by all the rules and regulations of another country.

  • You would be traveling with other people, you have to respect everyone's privacy.

  • We have a plan/itinerary for the whole trip but some things might get changed according to the situation please be prepared.(like flight delays etc)

  • No refund in case of cancellation of flights of interconnecting flights/trains.

  • We would be staying in backpacker hostel all the time and would be sharing the room with other people, you are responsible for your own stuff and yourself
