Trip Itinerary

• The trip starts in St. Petersburg. All travelers have to reach St. Petersburg.

 

Day 1: Arrival in St. Petersburg

​

• Arrive in one of the most beautiful cities in the world.

• Stroll around Nevsky Avenue - The most famous street in Saint Petersburg

• Later proceed for dinner

• Evening free at leisure

• Overnight Stay in St. Petersburg.

 

Day 2: St. Petersburg city tour & Hermitage Museum 

​

• Visit St. Isaac's Cathedral, the second-largest Eastern Orthodox Church in the world 

• Go for a walk at Palace Square in front of Winter Palace 

• Tour around the Winter Palace, one of the six main buildings of the world's second-largest art museum − the Hermitage Museum 

• Have Lunch nearby.

• Visit to Peter and Paul Fortress Optional

• Enjoy Drinks and food, The night is all yours.

• Overnight Stay in St. Petersburg.

Day 3: Catherine's Palace Tour & Neva River Canal boat Cruise

• Enjoy the historical architectures ranging from Baroque, and Neoclassical to Soviet-style, hence renowned as the Venice of the North.

• Catherine Palace Tour & world-famous Amber Room.

• St. Petersburg Tour with Canal Boat through the rivers and canals to admire the city's landscape.

• Opera at the Mariinsky Theater Optional

• Overnight Stay in St. Petersburg.

Day 4: Murmansk - Gate To Arctic - Aurora Village eco-hotel

​

 Welcome to Murmansk,  Known as the Russian Lapland - this city is in the extreme northwest of Russia and the world’s largest city north of the   Arctic Circle. Murmansk is always happy to welcome old and new friends. Once visiting it, you will certainly come back here again.

• Board a 2-hour flight to the port city of Murmansk

• Transfer from the airport to Aurora Village for an Igloo stay​

• The village is located between the capital of the northern lights – Murmansk and the Arctic Ocean

• Enjoy Snowmobiling, Skiing, snowshoeing & other activities

• Spend the night here

Day 5: Murmansk city

​

• Check-out from the village & you will be transferred back to Murmansk city

• After settling into new accommodation, Visit the second tallest statue in Russian landmark - Alyosha Monument 

• Visit & Take pictures with the Lenin Nuclear Icebreaker, the world's first one of its kind.

• Evening explores the city & learn about the city's history.  

• Northern Lights tour 

 

Day 6: Saami Village Tour 

​

• Today pay a visit to Saami Village. Saami people are indigenous people of the area. 

• During the visit, you will get acquainted with their history and traditional way of life and explore the alley of wooden majestic idols of love, happiness, luck, fate and wealth.

• Make sure you have six yellow coins to make a wish to them! What's more, you could play Saami games, dress in their traditional clothes and take photos, meet local fauna such as foxes, and rabbits, and feed the reindeer.

• Later, Spot Reindeer, foxes, and husky dogs have a chance to stroke and feed them making new friends.

• Return back to Hotel in Murmansk

Day 7: Trip to the coast of the Arctic Ocean - Teriberka village

​

• Travel to Teriberka starts from Murmansk and passes through the Arctic tundra

• There is a lot of snow and polar nights when it is in winter time, making the village like a light blue snow kingdom in fairy tales.

• Visit the Graveyard of abandoned ships. 

• Northern light tour

• Stay in Murmansk

Day 8: Tour of Snow Village & the Khibiny Mountains

• Tour the Snow Village - Kirovsk

• Visit the land famed for its stunning aurora borealis

• See a prime piece of ice art

• Unveil the nonpareil ecosystem of the Khibiny

• Uncover the pristine nature of Tundra

• Return back to Murmansk

Day 9: Arrival in Moscow

​

• Board a 2-hour 30-minute flight to the capital city of Russia, Moscow.

• Reach by evening

• Check-in into hotel

• Enjoy Leisure time 

• Great Moscow State Circus Optional

• Overnight Stay at the hotel in Moscow.

Day 10: The Kremlin & The City - New Year's eve​

​

• Guided tour of the Moscow Kremlin, including the Cathedrals and the Armory

• The walking city tour downtown: Red Square & St Basil's Cathedral, Lenin’s Mausoleum, GUM, Bolshoi Theatre, and other highlights

• Evening visits the oldest and most famous streets of Russia - Arbat Street.

• Enjoy new year's eve in Moscow

• Ice rink on the Red Square (Winter activity) Optional

Day 11: Day Trip to Sergiev Posad 

​

• The Trinity Lavra in Sergiev Posad is a part of the legendary Golden Ring of Russia

• A unique architectural masterpiece protected by the UNESCO World Heritage organization

• It is the main acting Orthodox monastery

• Enjoy last night in Russia - Dinner & Drinks

Day 12: Departure

•  If you are caught doing anything illegal you will be facing the consequences alone, Travel to Discover will not come into the picture.

• When you are traveling alone you have to tell the team about your whereabouts.

• You have to abide by all the rules and regulations of another country.

• You would be traveling with other people, you have to respect everyone's privacy.

• We have a plan/itinerary for the whole trip but some things might get changed according to the situation please be prepared (like flight delays etc.)

• No refund in case of cancellation of flights or interconnecting flights/trains.

• We would be staying in a backpacker hostel all the time and would be sharing the room with other people, you are responsible for your own stuff and yourself
