Romania - Hidden treasure of Europe.The country is blessed with natural beauty , beautiful castles , untouched forests and the beautiful Carpathian's.

The trip is backpacking type - You stay in hostels with travellers coming from all around the globe , we explore the Transylvanian region of Romania , hiking in the beautiful Carpathian mountains in Piatra ranges , exploring caves in Apuseni national park , tour the beautiful capital city Bucharest , we get to know about the history of saxons , wine and dine in Sibiu , explore Sibiu's beautiful squares & towers and later last but not the least we make our way to Brasov - one of the most beautiful cities in Romania.

We explore the beautiful cities - Bucharest , Sibiu , Cluj & Brasov and 2 national parks - Apuseni and Piatra Craului national park.

Day 1 : Trip starts in Bucharest

Stay : Hostel centrally located
-
Explore Bucharest Lipscani District - which consists of a jumble of very well known streets between Calea Victoriei which is Bucharest's oldest and arguably, most charming street., Blvd. Bratianu, Blvd. Regina Elisabeta and the Dambovita River.

We would be exploring some of the most stunning buildings in the city, including the Cantacuzino Palace, the historical Revolution Square, the Military Club, the CEC Headquarters and the National History Museum which are all of great historic significance to Romania.

Evening we will chill in Lipscani district at some local bar meeting new people and later head for some local Romanian food.

Day 2 : Bucharest

Today after breakfast we head out to explore more of this beautiful city.

Metropolitan Church (Biserica Patriarhiei) & Choral Temple (Templul Coral) are some of few places on the map where we would be heading.

In evening you are free to explore by yourself.
Day 3 : Sibiu : Today we take the train or drive from Bucharest to Sibiu

Stay : Hostel centrally located close to the very famous Great Square
-
Sibiu is also an UNESCO world heritage site , one of the most beautiful cities you will come across also known as the cultural capital of Romania.

We explore the Upper town, home to most of Sibiu's historic sights, and the Lower town, lined with colourful houses on cobblestone streets and bounded by imposing city walls and defence towers overlooking the river Cabin.

In evening we head for a pub crawl to get know this beautiful city even more and after that we enjoy some local Romanian food

Night is all yours.
Day 4 : Sibiu

Today its a free day and you are good to explore the city by yourself.

You can visit the Sibiu's Towers (Turnurile Sibiului) - Harquebusiers' Tower (Turnul Archebuzierilor), Carpenters' Tower (Turnul Dulgherilor) and Potters' Tower (Turnul Olarilor) choose any one all have a story to tell.

You can either to Council Tower (Turnul Sfatului) which is one of the landmark of Sibiu

Roman-Catholic Church (Biserica Romano-Catolica) is also a must visit*

You can head to Franz Binder World Ethnographic Museum or head to Transylvania's finest art museum – the Bruckenthal Palace.

Day 5 : Cluj - Today we take the train or drive from Sibiu to Cluj

Stay : Centrally located close to Union Square
-
We explore the Union Square (Piata Unirii) – which features baroque, gothic, Renaissance and neoclassical buildings, across the square,we visit the Hintz House, which served as Cluj's first and longest-running pharmacy (1573-1949) and is now home to the Pharmacy Museum

The square allows for quick access to St. Michael's Church - this church is one of the most beautiful gothic monuments in Transylvania. It was erected between 1350 and 1487 on the site of the former St. Jacob's Chapel.

Evening we head to some bar for few drinks and food.

Day 6 : Early morning we head to Apuseni National Park
The Apuseni Nature Park (Parcul Natural Apuseni) - known as the cavers' paradise, protects one of the most interesting cave fauna in the country.

Stay : One of the beautiful villages Albac, Garda, and Arieseni

Apuseni park is a paradise and we head out to explore Bears' Cave in Chiscau and Scarisoara Glacier

Evening , we spend some time in one of the beautiful villages.

The Apuseni Motzi villages are some of the best places in which to find tranquility and timeless wisdom of the traditional village way of life.
Day 7 : Brasov

Stay : Hostel Centrally located close to the council square

Explore one the main street of Brasov - Strada Republicii
-
Stroll our way to St. Nicholas Cathedral exploring the magnificent Black church and its long history , in between you come one of the narrowest street of Brasov

Evening guided walking tour starting from Council square ( Optional) - A must do *
Day 8 : Brasov

After breakfast , we hike the Tampa mountain for panoramic views of this beautiful city
-
In afternoon we head for a small trip to Rasnov fortress or you are free to explore this beautiful city by yourself.

Evening we all catch up for some drinks and later enjoy some local romanian food.

Day 9 : Zarnesti - Piatra Craului National Park

Stay in Zarnesti either at a local's house or small mountain cottages.
-
Zarnesti, located 18 miles southwest of Brasov and accessible both by road and by railway, is the most important town for access to the northern part of the ridge in Piatra Craului national park.

Explore the town , go for a small walk to Piatra Craului park
-
Go in any direction and all you will find is peace and beautiful nature surrounding you.

Dinner
Day 10 : Piatra Craiului National Park
Piatra Craiului Natural Park known for its glacial lakes and ridges is regarded as one of the most beautiful sights in the Carpathian's. It features the longest and highest limestone ridge in the country (over 15 miles long and 6560 ft. high).

Early morning we go for a day long hike with guide from Zarnesti , please note proper hiking gear is mandatory and you need to respect the environment at all times.

A small get together and little party , bidding goodbye to all the lovely people .
Day 11 : Trip ends - Head off to Bucharest or you can explore more of this beautiful country.
