  • It's a backpacking trip - where you stay in budget hostels, centrally located, travel focussed where you get to meet travelers from all across the globe. 

  • Portugal is a very beautiful country and has a lot to offer, so the itinerary is a mix of all major regions of Portugal.

  • The trip has been designed keeping in mind you get to explore the Portuguese Capital city, the very beautiful Algarve region, Local Portuguese music Fado, it's architecture and the history with behind it. The wine regions up in North, fishing towns in Nazare and then ending the trip in another beautiful city Porto.

  • The group size would be 10-15 persons. Couples are most welcome but please take note the rooms would be dormitory shared by other travelers as well.

Day 1-Lisbon 

 

Hostel-Centrally located which is at walking distance to the famous Alfama district

  • Explore Alfama district which is the oldest district of Lisbon 

  • Evening at the oldest coffee shop in Lisbon.

  • Dinner 

  • Free to explore the city by yourself.

 

Day 2-Lisbon 

 

  • Exploring Belem district

  • Visiting the Jeronimos monastery

  • Heading to one of the oldest bar/restaurants for listening Fado music(Portuguese music)

  • Drinks+Dinner

 

Day 3-Day Trip to Sintra and Evening Sunset Cabo Da Roca  

 

  • Visit Sintra & Cabo da Roca which is the westernmost point of Europe.

  • Evening head back after sunset.

  • Dinner.

 

Day 4-Drive or Train to Algarve 

  • Explore the capital city of the region Faro.

  • Exploring beautiful Piazza and getting sunk in the lazy and sunny side of Algarve region

  • Head to Faro Cathedral and climb the bell tower for great view of the Faro city

 

Day 5-Algarve 

 

  • Today After an early breakfast we head to explore Lagos - One of the Algarve's most appealing towns

  • Explore the very beautiful Fish Market and other beautiful parts of this town.

  • Later during the day, we head to Sagres west of Lagos for watching some Cliff fishing and exploring the very beautiful side of Algarve region where the whole ocean opens up to you.

  • In evening we head back to Faro and spend the evening with good food and few drinks enjoying local music.

 

Day 6-Drive to Évora - Alentejo region

 

Explore

  • Roman Temple of Évora

  • The Praça do Giraldo – gothic architecture is the main central plaza of Evora and is the heart of the city. The square is lined by exquisite examples of 16th-century Gothic architecture, while the simplistic Igreja de Santo Antao stands at one end of the square.

  • The bone chapel is the most ghoulish sight of Portugal and thus one of the most memorable monuments of Évora. Inside the small chapel, the walls are lined with bones of the long-deceased, exhumed from the city's graves as the city expanded to allow further burials.

 

Day 7-Drive or Bus  to Nazare 

 

  • Heading to the fishing town of Portugal.

  • Explore the town and try different cuisines.

  • Surfing  ( Optional )

 

Sitio(A small town above Nazare on the hill, we'll take the funicular)

 

  • We will head up to Sitio in the morning and explore the areas around.

  • Try some of the White wine which is a specialty across Portugal.

 

Day 8-Alcobaca(Day trip)

 

  • Exploring the very famous Alcobaca Monastery which is a Mediaeval Roman Catholic monastery located in the town of Alcobaça.

  • Explore the town and rest for the day.

 

Day 9-Coimbra(Education city of Portugal)

 

  • Exploring the old part of the city.

  • A tour of the oldest library present in the whole of Portugal.

 

Day 10-Porto--It's a mysterious city that reveals its charm to the visitor through time.

 

  • Stay in the Old historic center Ribeira

  • Explore the Old part which is UNESCO world heritage site.

  • San Franciso Church

  • Stock exchange building-Neoclassical Architecture

  • Estádio do Dragão-Stadium of home football team

  • Sunset-Foz do Dour region -Hiking 

 

Day 11-Porto 

 

  •  Free Day 

  • Optional activities :

    • Livraria Lello-One of the most beautiful bookshops across Europe

    • Porto Wine tour

  • We have a plan/itinerary for the whole trip but some things might get changed according to the situation please be prepared.(like flight delays etc)

  • No refund in case of cancellation of flights of interconnecting flights/trains.

  • We would be staying in backpacker hostel all the time and would be sharing the room with other people, you are responsible for your own stuff and yourself
