• The trip starts in Helsinki. All travelers have to reach Helsinki by afternoon or evening.

• The meeting point for all is the Hostel.

Day 1: The trip starts in Helsinki 

​

• The meeting point for all travelers is the Helsinki Backpack Hostel. You need to reach Helsinki by afternoon or evening.

• Stay In Backpack Hostel - The hostel would be centrally located and would be close to all the places we would be exploring. The capital city has a lot to offer.

• Explore the main street of Aleksanterinkatu

• Evening - head to the center to the good local bar and enjoy our Friday night with some beers and get to know this city more.

• The night is all yours.

Day 2: Helsinki

​

• We know Finns are coffee lovers - Breakfast and ...

• Let's do a little sightseeing - for all art and architecture lovers - the Kiasma Museum is great

• We explore one of the most beautiful churches in Helsinki - not to be missed - Temppeliauko Church or known as Rock Church

• For food /Lunch, we head to the Kallio district 

• Later we explore some beautiful streets of Finland and try to get our hands on some good stuff all depending on your taste.

• Evening we chill at Old Market Square and enjoy more of this beautiful city

• Drinks and food

• The night is all yours

Day 3: Helsinki - It's a free Day - Overnight train to Rovaniemi

​

• Breakfast at the Market Square. You can make your plans for the day.

• You can take a ferry and head to the UNESCO World Heritage site - Suomenlinna or do a day trip to Porvoo - 2nd oldest city in Finland. 

• Evening we meet for a Sauna experience which is a must when in Finland

• Overnight train to Rovaniemi

Day 4: Rovaniemi - Lapland - Time to Visit Santa Claus - Arctic Circle Northern Light Belt

​

Rovaniemi, the capital of Finnish Lapland, is home to an eclectic – and unusual – array of museums

​

• Stay In Backpack Hostel - The hostel would be centrally located and would be close to all the places we would be exploring.

• After settling in we admire the ätkänkynttilä, Finland’s oldest cable-stayed bridge made in 1989 and crosses Finland’s longest river, Ounasjoki, which runs for 299.6 kilometers. At night is more beautiful.

• Evening explore the city 

• Head for the Northern Lights tour

Day 5: Rovaniemi - Lapland - Santa Claus Village 

​

• Today, without wasting time we head to meet Santa Claus.

• Explore the Santa Claus village 

• Return by Lunch and explore the city center

• Rest of the day at leisure

Day 6 : Rovaniemi - Lapland 

​

• Morning for a Polar Ice breaker tour ( Optional Activity )

• Or you can pick from numerous tours 

• Explore the Ranua National Park 

• Or visit the museums of Rovaniemi

​

Day 7: Rovaniemi - Day at Leisure 

​

• Morning you can head for any tour like Husky / Snowmobile

• Or you can pick from numerous tours 

• Evening visit the Arctic Snowhotel or go for a Lappish Sauna experience

• Head out exploring the nightlife of the city - After the Christmas party

Day 8: Rovaniemi to Yllas 

​

• Morning leave for the Arctic Light Sky Lodge

• Reach by afternoon - Check-in 

• Explore the Igloo resort 

• If you want to go on a tour you can pick from many tours at the resort 

• Dinner Included

• Evening relax at your Igloo stay and hopefully enjoy the Northern Lights from your Igloo

Day 9: Yllas to Helsinki

​

• Early breakfast 

• After breakfast head out exploring Yllas

• You can head for a snowshoeing tour

• Late Lunch

• After lunch head for the Kittila airport for a flight to Helsinki

• Reach around 8:30 pm in Helsinki

• Evening dinner and drinks

• Northern Light chase tour in Rovaniemi in group

• Flight from Kittila to Helsinki on 28th Dec'24 with checked baggage of 23kg

• Assistance with the visa for the full documentation ( Visa fees and submission of docs have to be done from your end )

• Lunch & dinner and drinks at all times 

• Anything not mentioned 

• Internal travel in the city and transfers from stations and airports 

• Due to bad weather - if any route changes or plan changes -- the extra cost would be incurred individually *

• You are an adult and you have to take full responsibility for yourself at all times and respect other cultures.

•  If you are caught doing anything illegal you will be facing the consequences alone, travel to discover will not come into the picture.

• You have to follow all the instructions given by the trip leader at all times.

• When you are traveling alone you have to tell the team about your whereabouts.

• You have to abide by all the rules and regulations of another country.

• You would be traveling with other people, you have to respect everyone's privacy.

• We have a plan/itinerary for the whole trip but some things might get changed according to the situation please be prepared.(like flight delays etc)

• No refund in case of cancellation of flights or interconnecting flights/trains.

• We would be staying in a backpacker hostel all the time and would be sharing the room with other people, you are responsible for your own stuff and yourself

Refund / Cancellation - You can cancel the trip anytime you want - The refund processing time is 15-20 days
