Trip Itinerary

 

Your trip starts in Nairobi  

​

Day 1 - Arrival at Nairobi International Airport

​

  • Reach Nairobi by the afternoon. Check-in in the hostel.

  • After lunch, explore the National Museum of Kenya.

  • The National Museums of Kenya holds more than 350,000 fossils in its collection, about 700 of which belong to ancient humans.

  • Evening at leisure.

  • At night, try out local food like Nyama Choma and Kachumbari with some beer.

Day 2 - Nairobi

​

  • ​After breakfast, leave for a day trip to Karen Blixen, David Sheldrick & Giraffe Center.

  • It is a day trip covering the three top Nairobi sites - starting from David Sheldrick Trust, then Karen Blixen Museum, and ending in Giraffe Centre.

  • David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust is a special organization that rehabilitates young orphaned elephants, Karen Blixen Museum is a beautiful farmhouse where Karen Blixen, author of Out of Africa, lived between 1914 and 1931 until she left Kenya after a series of personal tragedies and Giraffe Centre was established in order to protect the endangered giraffe, that is found only in the grasslands of East Africa.

  • Evening return back to the hotel.

  • Enjoy the amazing Nairobi Nightlife with Tusker Beer.

Day 3 - Nairobi 

​

  • Early breakfast. After breakfast, leave for an early morning game drive of Nairobi National Park which is located just south of central Kenya.

  • You’ll have the chance to spot wildlife like lions, black rhinos, cheetahs, buffalos, giraffes, and hippos, as well as many bird species.

  • Return back to the hotel. Lunch.

  • After Lunch, visit Bomas of Kenya, a tourist village in Langata, Nairobi. Bomas displays traditional villages belonging to several Kenyan tribes.

  • Evening at leisure. You can also explore Gikomba Market. (optional)

  • Dinner & Drinks.

Day 4 - Transfer to Amboseli​

​

  • After breakfast, check out and leave for Amboseli.

  • Check-in at the hotel.

  • Full Day Safari to Amboseli National Park.

  • Amboseli National Park is in southern Kenya. It’s known for its large elephant herds and views of the immense Mount Kilimanjaro, across the border in Tanzania.

  • Return back to the hotel.

  • Dinner & Drinks.

Day 5 - Transfer to Masai Mara 

​

  • After breakfast, check out and leave for Masai Mara.

  • Check-in at the hotel.

  • After lunch, drive to Masai village.

  • A visit to cultural visit to Traditional Masai Tribe is a must-do activity in Masai Mara.

  • The Maasai (or Masai) are mostly known for the colorful garments and jewelry they wear. They are one of the 43 tribes that make up Kenya’s population.

  • Evening return back to the hotel.

  • Dinner & Drinks.

Day 6 - Masai Mara 

​

  • Early breakfast. After breakfast, leave for an early morning game drive of Masai Mara National Park which is an area of preserved savannah wilderness in southwestern Kenya, along the Tanzanian border. Its animals include lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, hippos, etc.

  • Full Day safari to Masai Mara National Park.

  • Explore the park and see a variety of wild animals in their natural habitat.

  • Return back to the hotel.

  • Lunch.

  • Evening, you can do Hot Air Balloon Ride over the Masai Mara plains.

  • Or enjoy the evening on your own.

  • Dinner & Drinks.

 Day 7 - Transfer to Hell's Gate 

​

  • After breakfast, check out and leave for Hell’s Gate.

  • Check-in at the hotel.

  • After lunch, go for a cycling safari to explore the Hell’s Gate National Park.

  • Hell’s Gate is famous for its spectacular towering cliffs, scrub-clad volcanoes, geothermal steam, stark rock towers and water-gouged gorges.

  • You can also spot giraffes, zebra, buffalo, Thomson’s gazelle, and other antelopes.

  • This park is also a good site for birdwatchers. Enjoy birdwatching.

  • Evening, return back to the hotel.

  • Dinner & Drinks.

 Day 8 - Hell's Gate 

​

  • After breakfast, leave for Mount Longonet National Park.

  • The main attractions of the park include the extinct volcano and crater forest and the views of Lake Naivasha and the Great Rift Valley.

  • Enjoy the views of Lake Naivasha and experience the scenic landscape of the Great Rift Valley.

  • You can also enjoy birdwatching here.

  • Return back to the hotel.

  • Dinner & Drinks.

Day 9 -  Lake Naivasha 

​

  • After breakfast, check out and leave for Lake Naivasha.

  • Check-in at the hotel.

  • Lake Naivasha is famous for its high population of hippos and flamingos. There are over 1,500 hippos in the area, and you are almost guaranteed to see one. The lake is a birder's paradise as it is home to over 400 bird species.

  • Explore the area and spot a variety of birds and hippos.

  • Return back to the hotel.

  • Dinner & Drinks.

Day 10 - Lake Nakuru

​

  • After breakfast, check out and leave for Nakuru.

  • Check-in at the hotel.

  • After lunch, explore Lake Nakuru.

  • The park’s main feature is a large, shallow lake supporting great birdlife, including big flocks of pelicans and variable flocks of flamingos.

  • It lies to the south of Nakuru, in the rift valley of Kenya, and is protected by Lake Nakuru National Park.

  • Explore Lake Nakuru and enjoy bird watching.

  • Return back to the hotel.

  • Dinner & Drinks.

Day 11 - Departure

​

  • After breakfast, leave for Nairobi  International Airport.

  • The trip ends here.

  • We have a plan/itinerary for the whole trip but some things might get changed according to the situation please be prepared. (like flight delays etc)

  • No refund in case of cancellation of flights or interconnecting flights/trains.

  • We would be staying in a backpacker hostel all the time and would be sharing the room with other people, you are responsible for your own stuff and yourself
