Balea Lac & Sibiu

Mark Twain said that the only regrets we have are the things we don't do.

I did something I'd never have dreamt of - Travel in Romania and glad I listened to my heart. Today I have hundred reasons to go back to this country- I had never imagined i will return with a bag full of so many memories - Big Dreamer

I was in my last week of 1 month journey in Europe sitting at the stairs outside Sacre Coeur - Symbol of Love in Paris , My heart said Let's go back to the Mountains - Let's go where your heart is - Brasov, suddenly a feeling of going home rushed.

I took the flight from Paris early morning and I was on my way back to where I started "Brasov" and the feeling was unbelievable -  again the ride from Bucharest airport to train station - then train journey from Bucharest to Brasov and then bus to Centrum hostel and rain again  reached midnight walked the republici street - all looked like a flashback movie but this time the difference was I did the journey alone.

That Impulsive decision of mine got me where I really wanted to be - Brasov.

Some places just gives you a feeling of home doesn't matter where in the world you are .

This time I got a chance to meet 2 good guys from Denmark Jacob & Oliver - who were backpacking East Europe. It clicked in minutes - We talked - Drank - laughed- ate - shared stories and in 5-6hrs we are already

on a plan for a road trip to Balea Lac & Sibiu . Incredible.

God just keeps on sending good people in your life - willing you ready to go out of your shell.

Balea lac is a glacier lake  situated at 2,034 m of altitude in the Fagaras Mountains, in central Romania in CârÈ›iÈ™oara, Sibiu County. It is accessible by car on the Transfăgărășan road one of the most beautiful roads to drive in the world during the summer, and the rest of the year by a cable car from the "Bâlea Cascadă" chalet.

Great fun it was tripping in this magical place and making new friends.  Next destination was Sibiu - with only 2 hrs left on our watch . Sibiu -the cultural capital of Romania - A world Heritage site - very known for universities and luckily we got a chance to see graduation parade of students. with whole Brass Band.A great experience it was -.Magical day came to an end with a beautiful drive back to Brasov and last day was call for Zarnesti.

Time flies - Everything looks like yesterday - I till today have no idea why I did this big travel in Romania but in all of this I really came to know about the roots of my friend from Romania.

Life is good when we do things without a plan. What means - ?? Thanks - Oliver & Jacob

Te Iubesc- Multumesc
